"We have rented many places for short getaways, and none felt more like "coming home" than Peaceful Pines! The yard was huge and amazing! The house was more stocked than any place we've been. It's better than the photos. We only had two couples...if you had 3 couples in the summer, the ones upstairs might be pretty toasty, but they would have a delightful room! Great beds, towels, and the kitchen was great! Our pooch loved running in the yard too! We enjoyed the Jacuzzi one night too! Highly recommend this place!!"

The house had a homey feel it was very updated and clean and decorated in great taste. It’s super close to town and the nature center so we enjoyed our daily excursions"

"This was our second stay at Peaceful Pines fka Cricket and like the first time it did not disappoint. They have everything you need, especially for you dog owners. The backyard is absolutely amazing. We still had lots of snow on the ground and the dogs loved it. This property has true pride of ownership and you can tell the owners use it themselves."

"We were impressed by this home the moment we drove up and the good impressions kept coming as we entered. It’s a beautiful place fully equipped with all the items you need to enjoy your stay. The unit was spotless and so well decorated. The kitchen is equipped with everything down to spices and olive oil. The jacuzzi was great and private, we used it everyday. The lot is large and we enjoyed watching the rabbits, squirrels and many birds. The bbq worked well too. We did lots of walking the neighborhood and also into town most days. It was a lovely stay. "

"This was such a beautiful cabin. We absolutely loved it. The kitchen was very well supplied with everything I needed to cook, and the backyard was beautiful. The house was very, very clean but it was super evident they have a dog. Totally fine by us as we are not allergic. Lots of dog hair. Otherwise this was hands down the best house we have ever rented in Idyllwild, and we visit about 4-5 times a year. "

"This is our second time renting the Cricket. They have thought of everything and its a home you can enjoy inside and out! Lots of places to relax and unwind in the sun and shade.
Our dog love it there as well, and the owner provide dog bowls, toys, and doggie bags for clean up. The back yard is big and great for exploring with lots of room to roam.
The jaccuzi is under a shaded pine tree and private. We spent most of the day outside with a cool breeze blowing through while lounging on the patio furniture.
The rental company New Spirit Vacation Homes is always accommodating and friendly. We plan to rent the Cricket again, and again!"

"Wonderful vacation rental for 6 people and dogs. Beautiful fenced yard with plenty of outside furniture and BBQ. Open kitchen with new appliances was great for cooking. Plenty of room to spread out or group together for games in front of fireplace. Only suggestion is replace downstairs mattress. Thank you for a great Thanksgiving holiday!"
