"The cabin was perfect for family of nine (5 teens, 4 adults). The best feature was the beautiful view on the ample deck. After long day, it was nice to be able to relax in the Jacuzzi, play pool, and enjoy a hot meal that we cooked in the well-stocked kitchen. We would return here in a heartbeat. Bring sleep eye masks so the sun doesn't wake you in the morning. There are no windows coverings in the bedrooms.

"Our family spent time between Christmas and New Year at the home. Everyone had a good time. We were a little caught off guard when the anticipated snow flurries turned into quite a blanket of snow and we weren’t able to get our All Wheel Car out of the driveway and down the hill without sliding. Fortunately a guy named Kevin, on the snow assist list available from the rental company, came and dug us out for a reasonable price. The rooms were a bit cold even though there are a number of portable heaters, but they also provide a lot of blankets. The kitchen has most items you would need, including a crock pot, pans, baking utensils and plenty of plates, bowls, etc. The coffee pot had some issues in draining the water through the filter, but we made it work. All in all, a lovely home. We may try again during summer months when we can take greater advantage of the outdoor decking. Finally, the work working features throughout the home are amazing. "

"Moonlight Mountain Retreat accommodated our family of 8 with ease. Plenty of bedding and towels, and i was pleasantly surprised to find even the mattress cover on the pull out couches were clean! Kitchen was well stocked. It was quiet, peaceful, and really a beautiful setting, yet just a few minutes drive to town so it was easy to make as many trips as we wanted. We had lots of fun with the pool table and shuffle board, and the multiple TV’s were great. The house is so unique and all of the wood working is gorgeous. Even though it was extra hot weather and the house doesn’t have AC, the rental provided fans, there is actually quite a bit of shade over some areas of the house, and at night the temp was perfect for sleeping with the windows open. We would definitely stay here again. "

"The cabin was perfect for our stay in Idyllwild. Very spacious and lovely home tucked away in a quiet area on a hill. Close to town and many amazing hiking trails. The home was very inviting, cozy and nicely decorated. Plenty of room for everyone to sprawl out. We enjoyed watching tv in the big room upstairs and had alot of fun in the game room downstairs. Relaxing in the living room by the fireplace was lovely too. The big deck was a hit and perfect to enjoy a book, have a meal and converse or enjoy the mountain landscape. Would definitely recommend this hidden gem. "

"Beautiful home, lots of uniqueness, family really enjoyed the home and our stay. Our only complain is no window coverings on the windows. It got pretty hot during the day especially with no air conditioning. Summer days get pretty warm. We came to relax, sleep in, and do not much of anything and waking up to sun blasting our faces and heat wasn't our cup of tea. Maybe for some but not ours. Besides that, no complaints. House is absolutely beautiful, lots to do, and not far from town at all. "

"We had a great time at the Moonlight Mountain retreat. The house was clean, spacious and so fun with all the amenities offered. We especially enjoyed the deck space. We went during a heat wave but we were comfortable at night as it cooled down and there were plenty of windows, fans and a room air conditioner in the master suite. We will definitely be back!"

"We rented with a group of 5. 2 parents and 3 older teenagers. Great views. A lot of space. Interesting layout but great with 3 living spaces for everyone to spread out. Love the deck and hot tub. Finding the house is a challenge. They almost need to have a map included in directions."

"My children, grandchildren and I celebrated an early Christmas and this spectacular home met and exceeded all our expectations. Moonlight Mnt Retreat is well worth the money. It was clean, well maintained and had plenty for the youngsters to keep them entertained. The views from the amazing deck are breathtaking and a fabulous gathering place for the adults to relax and enjoy each others company. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a traditional Christmas feast. Hats off to the owner and New Spirit Vacation Homes for providing such an amazing home."

"This was the 2nd time we rented this house and we really love the deck, the view is amazing. Kitchen is well stocked. A little hard to find but the first time we rented this house we called the property manager and they came right over and showed us where the house was. My oldest son is in a wheelchair and this house was very easy for him to get around. We will be back. ♥️"

"We rented this property for a weekend family trip and everyone absolutely loved it! The patio had enough seating for the whole family and the view was amazing. There were plenty of games available for the kids to keep them entertained and it was spacious enough that everyone wasn’t crammed together in the house. The property management were extremely nice and responded quickly when we had a concern. We will definitely be renting from them again in the future! "

"We got lost because we didnt follow staff instructions ��‍♀️ but after finding the home we were over the moon with this house!! Has a well stocked game room which served us well as I have children, I HARDLY SAW THEM ALL WEEKEND!!!! Talk about a VACATION ��. The upstairs living area has a beautiful LARGE sectional and VIDEO GAMES!!! Hardly saw my husband all weekend: SCORE!!! jk, the house is well stocked and beautiful. The views were amazing, although finding it was a bit of a mission but totally worth it! One thing though, on our last day my daughter found herself face to face with a small mouse. I spoke with the management company and suggested they move the location on their trashcans as it came in through where those cans are. Overall, AWESOME HOUSE, would consider going back if the EXTRA guest isnt occupying it, ha ha ha. "

"The property was great! It matched the pictures and had an ideal location. The neighboring cabins were a good distance away, so we felt secluded, but we were also only a 5 minute drive from town, which was nice when we need to pick something up from the grocery or liquor store. The cabin has so much space, it's perfect for large groups. Two living rooms, the upstairs one has a huge sectional couch for groups to gather around a big TV or sleep 3; a large dinning room table; and game room. The deck is enormous and holds plenty of seating, the BBQ flat top grill, and hot tub for 8. Be aware that if the hot tub is cold when you arrive, it will take 7 hours to go from cold to 100 degrees hot. We didn't realize the hot tub was cold until we went to use it at 5pm. We immediately turned it on, but the temperature didn't rise to 100 until midnight. The management company was very responsive both during and after their business hours, available by call or text message. The group loved the property and I especially loved working with New Spirit Vacation Homes. I highly recommend booking directly through them for any stay in Idyllwild. "

"Beautiful home and lovely deck area. House in very good condition inside and out. Spa, pool table and game room all were used and enjoyed. The road coming in to the house needs some repairs, but overall a wonderful place for 10 people. We never felt cramped or crowded. "
