Very comfortable setup in a beautiful location that felt secluded, yet we were only a 5-minute drive from downtown. The views were stunning, and we spent most of our days outside on the porch or inside looking at the view through the big bay windows. We will book this location again! "

"This cabin is so cozy. The fireplace really warms up the cabin. The soaker jacuzzi tub is amazing. The view from the deck is beautiful and at night the stars are magical. We came last year for our 10th anniversary and enjoyed ourselves so much we returned for our 11th. This would be a comfortable rental if you have a small family (with just us 2 there's more than enough room) Be sure to follow the provided directions & take the second Foster Lake Rd.
The kitchen is great for preparing meals at the cabin & there is a cute little grocery store if you extend your stay! It's only a few minutes to town. The staff is very nice and provides helpful information regarding your stay. "

"We stayed for two nights over Father's Day. It was our first time in Idyllwild and the cabin was perfect for our family! The view is amazing. Everything is so beautiful. The master bath tub is the best feature, you must try it!"

"We were looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway over the Fourth of July holiday. We have a dog and the usual celebrations that include both large fireworks and lots of neighborhood explosions is very unnerving for us and our beloved doggie companion. It was so peaceful and quiet at the Mointain View Cabin. We had everything we hoped for: beautiful deck with a spectacular view and the air conditioning was very nice to have for this warm weather. We found great places to eat in town in this lovely mountain village. "

"Beautiful spot! We loved the open floor plan that kept everyone connected. No BBQ at this location. Driveway is a little steep, but workable. The view is magnificent! Some cookware and dishes were provided which we appreciated! Over all we enjoyed relaxing here. Not too far from town (but really, we never wanted to leave that epic mountain view!) Also the swing our front was wonderful! "

"Our family of 6 (5 adults 1-11yr old) enjoyed our 1st stay at Mt. View rental aka "Wee Cabin". I always take a knife, sautee pan and spatula because i always cook on our stays and never know how stocked places are.
Pros : we liked the quiet location, the awesome view, I'd say fully stocked kitchen (large set of plates,mugs, silverware pots and pans,even bowls for our little dog. Beds were warm and comfy, hot water, woodburning stove and Heating worked great, bath/spa was nice 2 towels in each bath. We didn't use the downstairs room much, maybe in summer. Balcony/Deck is large. It was chilly so only had morning coffee outside. But the sunrise views can be enjoyed from inside the cabin too. Plenty of parking. Aero bed mattress was available.
Cons: Bathrooms have no window coverings (no neighbors behind so not a huge issue unless someone from your party is walking out back..personally with the snow out taking a bath and looking out was peaceful, just warn your people...driveway can be an issue with heavy snow,( you can ask the management for a snow shovel)and it has a lower pull through driveway. Stairs can be an inconvenience for lugging supplies . No grill outside for barbecuing which can be a bummer,(with knowing that we packed food accordingly). No birdfeed, our youngest was looking forward to it.
Suggestions: Propane or charcoal grill, set of mixing bowls, patio dining table for deck.
We would definitely stay again for a relaxing getaway anytime of year."

Be aware that the cabin is on a dirt road and it can be a little tricky to get to."

"Very comfortable, quiet and private. You could never get tired of the view. The sound of the breeze whispering through the pines was very soothing. It was an easy distance from town. We offered a couple of maintenence issues when we checked out, and felt confident they would be addressed before the next vacationers. We hope to be back soon!"

"Stood here 1 year ago and glad to stay again. 4 night stay thru New Years. Cozy A-Frame, stocked kitchen, new flooring, warm beds, scenic views. We were lucky to be there during snowfall about 6 inches in 2 days. Stocked with necessities. Wish they had a grill and outdoor patio table. Was making a lasagne dish, but no baking dish, so made stovetop version instead. driveway is steep, caution during snow on top driveway. Lower pull through driveway easier access during snow."

"The views were stunning and there was plenty of room for four adults to enjoy a sibling vacation. We really didn’t interact with the management company, as the office was closed both at check in and check out. The system they had was simple enough, though the lock key box was somewhat frustrating to open. The contract for the rental agreement was extensive and somewhat intimidating sign after reading. There were a few little things that gave us pause. The living room furniture, although comfortable, was very worn. There was a basket of blankets available in the living room, but they smelt like dog. One bedrooms bed was very comfortable while the other one was very hard to sleep on. All things for what led us to remove one star from the general condition review.
But that wouldn’t stop us from going back to this location. We were satisfied despite those few things."

"Mountain View was even more beautiful than the photos! The raised deck was the perfect space to enjoy coffee in the mornings, read a book during the day, and star gaze at night. I enjoyed watching all the wildlife during my stay, and was amazed how quiet and peaceful the area was.

The kitchen was equipped with everything I needed for my extended stay, minus some spices and extras that I was able to bring. The master bed was too hard and stiff, but thankfully the second bed felt just right. There were tons of linens on hand and the home was absolutely immaculate when I arrived. The jacuzzi tub was an absolute dream, and no photo can describe its scale or view during daylight hours; it definitely was the best part of my visit.
Both showers need new shower heads as they both struggled to turn or spray properly. Some of the furniture feels outdated, but it was not a big issue. The downstairs space felt dark and uninviting; I would recommend getting more air circulation and adding a coffee table so people can have a space to play games and hang out.

The rental company was kind and offered me early check in and late check out, which I really appreciated.

I would definitely recommend this home to others and would love to come back in the future. "
