Hermitage at Spirit Mountain Retreat

Welcome to the Hermitage at Spirit Mountain Retreat. The Hermitage at Spirit Mountain Retreat is a two-story apartment with bedroom/study area, living area, and small private deck. There is a queen sized bed and a pull out couch, allowing the home to sleep up to 4 guests. Wifi is provided whether you would like to stream your favorite show on Netflix or catch up on those pesky work emails. Home has a small book collection.
The home is a part of the Hermitage, which is a non-profit organization based on donations that hosts retreats and sabbaticals. Wonderful place

“I love this cabin. My only complaints are these:

It said there was a kettle but there wasn’t one. It would have been nice to be able to heat hot water in an electric kettle or regular kettle to use on the hot plate.

The hot plate started smoking when I put a pot of water on it. I’m pretty sure the hot plate needs to be replaced.

It said the thermostat was downstairs but it was upstairs.

Other than that I loved my stay and will return, as long as there is a working hot plate and a kettle ❤️

Quiet retreat

“I loved the little cabin. It was perfect for a romantic get away with my husband.
I do wish the down stairs was a bit warmer. The grounds are beautiful

Peaceful Getaway

“Drove up from the hot lower desert for some cool weather hiking. I think I was the only person staying on the entire property as I didn’t see anyone. Cozy, quiet, comfortable and impeccably clean. Within walking distance to town and a nice 4 mile walk to trailhead. I loved the large soaking tub after my long hikes. The bed was comfortable but very “squeaky”. I blew a fuse when I tried to use the microwave and toaster oven at the same time, however management came within 10 minutes to trip the breaker. This will be my new get away for went I want peace and privacy. Enjoyed my stay!

A writer's retreat

“I needed to get away to work on my book. This was the perfect place to do that! Isolated, yet walking distance to town. I took my dogs with me, so they had a vacation from home too. We brought our food (bring simple food - only heating elements, microwave, and toaster oven - no stove or oven and no bbq grill) so we could just stay in and I could focus on work. Breaks involved taking the dogs on walks. The back area is not fenced in, so be prepared to keep your dogs leashed and tethered (neighbor properties have loose dogs that run along the fence line, and the creek is accessible and dangerous). I had two days of productivity and relaxation. The bed is so comfortable! There is limited hot water, so plan accordingly. But it's a mountain retreat, so why would you expect that?
The meditation garden is so lovely.

Loved this self-contained "condo"

“This was a spacious 2-story townhome-style cabin. Living room was spacious and upstairs bedroom and bathroom were roomy too! Upstairs windows were lovely for fresh air and the view. The kitchen was just right - no stove/oven but there is a toaster oven along with the microwave, frig, coffee maker and utensils. Super quiet - there were no other over-nighters but during the day classes/meetings were held outside at the spirit retreat. Very nice folks and I loved the zen outdoor atmosphere. Lots of places to wander around the premises and sit down for a rest or chat. I didn't have to drive to the downtown village - just walk! I'll come back for another visit. Very clean and comfy!!!!!
